The Maker
Colour, craft and expression. Posca and premium markers for surfaces that matter.
Pigment, not novelty. This is the chapter for people who treat a marker as a tool. Posca's water-based, opaque pigment lays flat and true across paper, board, glass and timber. It dries matte and does not react to what is underneath. It is for work that is meant to last.
The Posca PC-5M is the starting point for most makers: a 1.8-2.5mm bullet tip that is broad enough to fill areas and fine enough to draw with control. The PC-1MR, at 0.7mm, is for detail, lettering and the kind of fine line that other markers cannot hold.
"A Posca is not a toy. It is a tool with a very high ceiling."
Staedtler's Lumocolor and Drawing Pen sets offer a different kind of precision: archival pigment in fine and ultra-fine tips, designed for illustration, technical drawing and annotation. These are the fineliners for the desk where work happens.
We do not carry marker sets for novelty. Every set on this site has a functional reason to exist. If you are not sure which size or set to start with, the Writing-Style Finder will route you toward the Maker archetype and filter the collection accordingly.
